I hit something in the spoil canal about a month ago when the water was really high. Luckily it bent the prop and took off some of the skeg. I made it back to BSM okay. When I got out of the water, I noticed, I broke one of the swivel clamps. It is on a 40 hp evinrude on a 16 ft flat. I took it out again and just fished the inside. My question is how important is to replace this? It definitely vibrates now. dr g

If you had the prop checked and/or repaired and it is still vibratingyou have a BENT PROP SHAFT which will lead to bad seal, then water in lower unit and so on! John Castelluccio, Jr.
